A Bakery Built Around Real Grain

Moxie Bread Co. is not your average bakery. The North Boulder location at 4593 Broadway is home to both a retail shop and a working grain mill — which means the flour used in the bread you buy was likely milled just a short distance from where you're standing. That is a rare thing, and it shows in the quality of every loaf.

The bakery was founded by Andy Clark, who built Moxie around a single idea: bread made from 100% heirloom grains sourced from local and regional farms. In 2020, Andy opened the North Boulder mill site to close the gap between organic grain farmers and the people eating the bread. After Andy passed away unexpectedly in 2022, his wife Phillippa Clark stepped in and has carried the work forward with the same commitment to quality and craft.
